In 2022, our founder Amit Singh returned to his hometown of Umri and tasted his grandmother's handmade ghee. The difference from supermarket ghee was staggering. That moment planted a question: why couldn't every Indian family access food this authentic?
The answer was a broken supply chain — one that prioritised scale over quality, shelf life over nutrition, and brand over source. देshi was built to fix that, one product at a time.

Having witnessed first-hand how rural producers pour their heart into every harvest yet rarely see fair returns, he built देshi to bridge that gap — bringing the purest food from India's villages directly to your kitchen, with honesty at every step.
